• If you are looking for quality ducks to add to your animal family, you are looking at the right hatchery. We are a small, clean, family operation with a passion for Australian Spotted and Miniature Silver Appleyard ducks! All of our breeding stock come from a world famous waterfowl preservation farm. Australian Spotted and mini silver appleyard ducks are hard to find and considered rare. Also, Australian Spotteds are considered an endangered domestic duck.
• We are currently taking orders for ducklings for 2008. 
•  Our ducks are fed certified organic feed during the breeding season and are free range all year long. Ducks are very hardy, they can withstand both cold and warm climates. The only reason ducks fly south in the winter is because they need access to open water. Our farm is in Minnesota and as long as we keep their water dishes free of ice and keep a heat lamp in their living quarters with, of course, a nice layer of hay/straw, they will winter just fine.
•  Ducks also are great foragers. They clean up all your unwanted pests around the yard. They love mosquito larvae, slugs, grasshoppers, flies, japanese beetles, snails, weed seeds and more! 
• The eggs ducks lay can be eaten and used for baking just like chicken eggs.  
• Ducks can roam free around your yard during the day, as long as you don't have bird dogs or obvious daytime predators that would like to get a hold of them, and will retire to their barn when it gets dark. They instictively seek shelter at dusk.
